The Chiefs signed a five-year contract, with five additional one-yearr options, to hold training camp at . If the Chiefsd decide not to exercise theadditional one-year options, the agreement with the Missourii Development Finance Board still requires the team to hold training camp in Missouroi until 2020, unless it repays a portion of the tax The Chiefs pledged $10 millio n to help the university build an indoor practics facility in exchange for a $25 million tax credirt from the Missouri Development Financse Board. Financing for the new facility alsoincluded $2.25 million from the city of St. $2.25 million from Buchanan Countyand $1.

The universitu previously said that it also is tryinfg to raise anadditional $1 million in private Construction plans at the universityg include a climate-controlled, 120-yard indoor field, team and position meeting space for the office space for the Chiefsz coaching staff, an end-zone complex, a new parkin lot and two 120-yard NFL regulation-sizre grass fields. The project requires moving the softball fieldes and acquiring new furnishings and training camp Missouri Western will be responsible forthe facility’s ongoing operation, maintenancse and repair.
To provide ongoin g financing, the university intends to sell naming rightsx to the various aspects ofthe project. The universitg is responsible for any cost overruns and has assured the Chiefsa that the facility will be completed beforeJuly 2010. The Chiefd training camp now is inRiver Falls, where it has been sincre 1991. The team trained at in Liberty from 1963to 1990.
